| Testing Fundamentals Program Overview |
| Testing Fundamentals is a research based and classroom tested reading comprehension intervention program that prepares students for standardized tests utilizing authentic literature ("real books") and lessons based on models of best practice. Testing Fundamentals has been utilized successfully in Whole-Class Settings and/or with Small Groups. |

Accompanying Lessons focus on 4 critical skill areas students need to master in order to become both competent readers and effective test takers:
- Finding Word Meaning in Context: Vocabulary
- Literal Questions: Paying attention to detail
- Determining Importance: Finding the main idea
- Inferential Questions: Reading the unwritten word
Each program includes pre and post tests, brief assessments that provide diagnostic accuracy for identifying students that may be at risk in particular skill areas. |
